Postdoctoral Positions in the Xiao Group School of Materials Science and Engineering, Peking University
1. About the Group
The Xiao Group at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Peking University, studies high-performance hybrid optoelectronic semiconductor materials and devices. We design and fabricate advanced optoelectronic devices based on organic–inorganic hybrid materials for applications in radiation detection and energy. To develop practical, high-performance, high-resolution radiation detectors for medical imaging, industrial inspection and specialized applications, we are recruiting one or two postdoctoral researchers with relevant research experience. We welcome applications from candidates in China and abroad. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
Group leader: Xun Xiao is a principal investigator and doctoral supervisor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Peking University, and a recipient of an overseas high-level talent award. His research focuses on hybrid optoelectronic semiconductor materials and devices. He has published more than 40 papers, including first-author or co-first-author papers in Nature (2), Nature Communications (2), Science Advances (1) and Advanced Materials (2). His honors include the Chinese Government Award for Outstanding Self-financed Students Abroad, the UNC Dean’s Distinguished Dissertation Award and a Marie Curie Fellowship.
The group’s main research areas include high-resolution radiation detectors, high-performance photodetectors and functional encapsulation materials for advanced optoelectronic devices.
2. Candidate Requirements
A PhD, obtained or expected shortly, in physics, chemistry, materials science, mechanical engineering, automation or a related science or engineering discipline from a recognized university or research institution.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in photodetector fabrication and characterization or photodetector applications in automation and robotics.
